Goldschmidt Happened Again!

My boys and I were at the Diamondbacks game last night. We had amazing seats, 5 rows behind the D-Backs dugout and the D-Backs won! Can it get any better than that? Yes, it can! My two boys each ended up with 3 game-used baseballs, 4 of which came from Paul Goldschmidt! Oh and Goldschmidt hit a game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth and a walk-off game-winning home run in the bottom of the 11th!

I know it says Row 11, but this section the rows start at 7.

Here are my boys with a couple of balls from Goldschmidt!

Here is a link for the walk-off home run! http://wapc.mlb.com/play?content_id=29686739

Goldschmidt got a well deserved bubble bath during the post game interview and guess who got some of the gum! http://wapc.mlb.com/play?content_id=29686853

Paul Goldschmidt Bobblehead

My family and I went to the D-Backs game last night. They lost 4-1 to the Mets, but it was Goldschmidt Bobblehead night so that was cool!

Goldschmidt MLB Debut and 1st Career HR Tickets

Since I started a blog about Paul Goldschmidt I figured I should try and pick up some more Goldschmidt items for my collection. I decided to try to find a ticket from his MLB debut and found one on eBay for $2.50. His debut was on August 1, 2011 against the Giants in San Francisco. The same seller also had a ticket from the August 2, 2011 game where Goldy hit his first career home run, so I picked that up as well for $2.50. With combined shipping I spent under $8 for the two tickets which I hope to get signed sometime soon.

If Goldschmidt were an animal, what animal would he be?

During the All-Star break, Paul Goldschmidt was asked what animal he would like to be. His answer...a gorilla. You can see the video clip here. If you just want to see Goldschmidt then skip to 2:01. Not a bad answer Mr. Goldschmidt, although a baseball playing gorilla apparently is not a new idea. Sorry Goldy! Watch the trailer for a Korean movie called Mr. Go.

Leading the team in...everything!

If you go to the Arizona Diamondbacks web site and scroll down to the middle of the page on the right hand side you'll see a spot for team batting leaders that has tabs for batting average, runs, home runs, RBI, and stolen bases. Guess who leads the D-Backs in every one of those categories right now. Yep, it's Goldy! He leads the Diamondbacks with a .313 average, 60 runs, 21 home runs, 77 RBI, and 9 stolen bases.
